The mission of Toastmasters International, a non-profit organization established in California in 1924, is to help its members develop their communication and leadership skills. Toastmasters has more than 235,000 members in 12,036 clubs in 106 countries around the world. More than four million people have, until today, benefited from the expertise of Toastmasters, a teaching program used and approved by leaders, entrepreneurs and communicators aspiring to excellence. Multinational corporations such as Bell Helicopter, Coca-Cola Co., IBM, Kraft General Foods, Merrill Lynch, KPMG and NASA recognize the merits of Toastmasters and host clubs within their companies.
District 61 is an officially bilingual (English/French) and international District, having more than 185 Clubs spread across eastern Ontario, Quebec and northern New York State, with nearly 4,000 members. District 61 will host it 104 th conference in Québec City from November 12 th to 14 th , 2010 . To ensure the success of the endeavour, Toastmasters District 61 invites businesses to sponsor or assist in the event.
